What happens in the workshop?
A mesmerizing master class where the audience becomes the 'Bloco Afro' - an Afro-Brazilian drumming ensemble, playing and dancing the rootsy rhythms of Salvador da Bahia: samba reggae and samba Afro. We will learn about the fascinating history of this culture and its African origins. We will get to know the diverse drums and experience playing them together.
